This day in history...Jan 24

An interesting threesome today.

Starting with the first flight of one of my favourite airliners but not one I ever got any really good shots of. The Coronado CV990 first took to the skies this day in 1961.

My book all about maiden flight, 'Flying Firsts', where you can find details of this and many more aircraft, is available from the newly updated flyWinglets shop

In 1970 Indonesian operator Pelita started operations. My new book, 'Lost Airline Colours of Asia' is available soon and details can be found at the above store also! (Nice link huh?)

Another airline no longer with us, this time from the UK was bmiBaby which was founded this day in 2002 but lasting just over 10 years.
