This day in history...Dec 27

One airline begins its life with another ending. An aircraft making its very first flight whilst another ends its days with one operator.

All Nippon Airways starts us off today when in 1952 it was established as Japan Helicopter & Aeroplane Transport Co.




Fast forward to 1974 and the newest variant of the first Airbus the A300B4 takes flight for the first time.



Short lived start up UK International airlines suspends operations this day in 2007

Continuing with the Boeing twinjet. QANTAS withdraws its last 767 passenger aircraft in 2014




However it does continue with the aircraft hauling freight.
